Last year, I was looking for a wireless security sytem for my new home. It soon became obvious that most of the products were only partially wireless. Moreover, the prices didn't justify the value.
I decided to build my own.
Well, I have been quite busy since then, but this project is on my list and on my head and therefore I have to begin working on it tomorrow, if not today.

Objectives:
- decide on main information processing unit
- choose operating system and write software for the application
- decide on wireless input sensors / transducers
- write a wireless communication protocol or use an existing one
- enhance software and provide foolproof operation
- enhance hardware and provide GSM connectivity.
